Emergency Endodontist Services On-Call Urgent Dental Care in Riverton

A dental emergency can range from severe pain, infections and injury. Dental injuries include chipped or fractured teeth, dislodged teeth, avulsed or knocked out teeth and root fractures. In most cases of dental injury the inner soft tissue, or dental pulp, is damaged requiring an immediate and thorough dental examination from an Riverton endodontics specialist. Pain management and antibiotics may need to be administered before business hours as well.

The long term health of an injured tooth depends on the nature of the injury, the length of time from injury to treatment, how your tooth was cared for after the injury and your body’s response. Seek treatment from an endodontic specialist immediately following a traumatic dental injury to increase the likelihood of saving the tooth with dental root surgery Riverton.

Losing a filling is a fairly common occurrence. If your filling has fallen out, call us immediately so a tooth examination can be performed to determine the best course of action.

Injuries to the Mouth & Teeth

Denture Repairs & Replacement

Depending on the damage done to the dentures determines the treatment options. The dentist will need to examine the dentures to decide if it can be repaired or if new impressions and a new device will be required.

When is Dental Trauma an Emergency?

Dental trauma is classified as a severe injury to the mouth. This can include any damage to your teeth, gums, lips, tongue, and jawbone. While a small cavity may not be labeled as a dental emergency, a broken or avulsed tooth (in which a tooth has been entirely dislodged from its socket) would be considered severe dental trauma and requires immediate dental trauma emergency medicine and treatment. These types of injuries are rarely life-threatening, but they are undoubtedly painful and can cause dental health issues and cosmetic concerns for the patient.

Dental Trauma from an Auto Accident

Airbags are lifesaving devices, but they often cause dental trauma when deployed. During a car accident, a victim can also injure their face from hitting it against the steering wheel, dashboard or window. This dental trauma from an auto accident can include knocked out teeth, root fractures, chipped or broken teeth, and even jaw bruising or fracturing. Don’t wait to get these problems addressed. The sooner a specialist can help, the better the recovery. For the best emergency dentist in Riverton, visit Greater Endodontics.

Dr. Casper was amazing! They got me in on a short notice for a root canal for a tooth that was causing me severe pain. Dr. Casper was thorough and explained the entire process and was very kind. I left numb, but 4 hours later when the numbing was worn off, I was pain free! I add minimal pain from the injections and 4 days later I was back to normal. Thank you to all the staff and Dr. Casper!

They did an excellent job on redoing my 20yr old root canals, they got me in and completed the task in a couple of hours, so I could get to my dentist to have my crowns restored and everything was done in an excellent manner. I highly recommend Greater Endodontics, especially their gentle wave process that cleaned up my infection at the base of my root canal.

4/23/25 I was scared for the procedure. Dr Casper was going to come in on the side of my mouth to remove an infected root that he had already done a root canal on, 2 years ago. They offer free follow ups yearly to make sure things are alright. The shot is probably the worst and I hardly felt them. He was quicker than expected, but thorough. When he put in the stitches, he redid 1 or 2 of them to make sure they were the best for me. I really liked how he was so positive with his assistant, Ebby, who did awesome, too. Dr Casper was so calm and positive, that it put me at ease. For something that I was so afraid of, I actually came out with a smile. The pain has been minimal. I have had 3 doses of Tylenol. I might need 1 more...or not. I didn't need anything else. I can't take ibuprofen so the swelling is a bit more. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND GREATER ENDODONTICS OF RIVERTON. They have a special procedure they do with their regular root canals that clean it out better. It is evident in the exrays, I think.

I had a root canal done a few years ago, which resulted in always having pain and problems with. The dentist that was responsible for the root canal never referred me to a specialist or cared about my situation; telling me that I'd have to live with the pain, as this was normal. A few months ago, the pain became much worse and then a few weeks ago my face had become swollen with so pain, I couldn't sleep or eat. I found a new dentist that listened to me, he prescribed an antibiotic and referred me to Greater Endodontics, as I now had an infection with holes in my bone from the infection. I was so upset, coming home and crying as I've always had healthy teeth and taken care of my teeth. I was very worried, scared and in the most pain I had ever been in. I haven't had any problems with my teeth, but this root canal and crown have been a nightmare to deal with. I met with Dr. Rhett Casper for a consultation. He was so kind, understanding and listened to my concerns as well as answered my questions. I made an appointment after he told me his recommendations. Again, I was so scared, worried, etc., for my upcoming appointment. Dr. Casper and his assistant were so caring, calm and understanding. My appointment went so much better than I expected with little anxiety or pain involved. It's now a waiting game, watching for one year to see if it's been resolved and if my bone has healed. I am absolutely so relieved and happy with my results! I didn't have any pain after the numbing wore off (I had horrible pain after the first root canal and numbing wore off), no pain what so ever! It's such a relief to be pain free compared to the last few years. If I ever need any type of Endodontics work done in the future, I am not having my dentist do it, I will be returning to Dr. Casper at Greater Endodontics of Riverton.
